The bottom of the drive is as simple as the top and it looks like the other Backup Plus drives that we’ve seen. Otherwise, the drive is a fairly simple one with a Seagate logo in one corner and a multi-coloured LED in the other one.
The grooved surface should help prevent that. A small drive is a lot easier to drop, and you wouldn’t want to do that to any drive. The top also features a grooved design that makes it easy to hold while it also sets it apart from other drives. The top is silver while the bottom is left black, which gives the drive a nice contrast. With a size of just 113.5 x 76 x 9.6mm, the drive is highly portable and it will easily fit into your pocket, purse, or bag. The gold colour will match golden Apple devices well while the silver version takes a simpler approach. The Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim portable hard disk drive is also available with a gold finish and in a 2TB capacity version for both colours. The latest Seagate drive in the Backup Plus family is the Ultra Slim drive and today I’m taking a closer look at the 1TB model with a silver finish.
