As per the screenshots shared in the report, users will get three options to set the Dark mode - automatic (based on time of day), always on and always off. According to a report by XDA Developers, an early preview build reveals the dark mode in Display settings of the handset. Even the next version of Google Android operating system - Android Q - is said to come with a system-wide dark mode for smartphones. Previously, it has rolled the same for its other platforms such as YouTube and Google Maps as well. Back in August, Google rolled out the Dark Mode as part of Material Theme elements for its Android Messages app. The Dark Mode, as the name suggests, turns the screen dark and the text White. That is perhaps because Google is still figuring out the best way to enable this feature to its users across operating systems. However, according to a report by The Verge, selecting the dark theme on the system worked on some devices only and not all the ones they put to test.
